THIS IS 2-DAYS TRIP TO TVER OBLAST

Moving to Torzhok

We will start our trip in Moscow or in Tver (if you are travelling from Saint Petersburg)

Driving on the roadВ  (3-3,5 hours) then turn to the off-road. Explore old villages and make a stop on the river Tvertza. Have a late breakfast with blini, sandwiches, coffee or tea. Here our trip starts.

We will move along the river В by jeeps and see the reverse side of Russian Reality.В В  The main wealth of the road are old stone bridges. They are surprised by its architecture, preservation and construction technology. These bridges were made without using fastening materials and compounds.

Have a lunch on the river

Visit former quarry and find out its miracle history. Get ready to listen different stories along the way from our guide and immerse in Russian culture.

We will come to the hotel in Torzhok at 6-7 p.m. Have a dinner and taste local food.

Torzhok area

This day is dedicated to history. You will visit the most interesting places of this region. Get ready to see Travelling Palace, Pozharskyi Hotel, numeral churches and The Epiphany Monastery.

You will visit abandoned noble estates of Poltoratsky and Glebov Families.

Visit the Museum of gold embroidery where the oldest form of traditional Russian skill that is known since the 10th century, is carefully preserved till now.

Have a cheese tasting on the small Italian farm. You will find out how this family could survive and work in this provincial backwoods.

Get back to Moscow (8.00-9.00 p.m.)
